Poster Guideline

Poster authors must be available at their poster during the poster sessions (for Question & Answer). The titles, autors, and relative poster numbers will be listed in the proceedings and also on the notice board in the exhibition area. For your presentation, you can set-up your poster after 15:00, November 24. Note that the opening of Nangang Exihibition Hall will last until 17:00 in the duration of this conference. Take-down time is 16:00-17:00 on November 27.  Remaining posters will be taken down without notice and presavation will not be assured.

Poster Size

Poster mounting boards are 1 m wide by 2 m high which stand on the floor. Posters may be printed in any smaller size. In general, the size of 90 cm by 120 cm (width x height) was recommanded. There will be several feet of space between rows of poster boards. One poster will be mounted on each side of the board. Because of the matierial that the poster board was made of, push pins are not available. Adhesive tape will be provided by the notice board.

Poster Presentation

The following guidelines may prove helpful in the preparation of your poster.

  • Use a large font size, and bullet your major points. Text should be printed in fonts no less than 28.
  • Keep the text to a minimum - most posters contain far too much text.
  • Attractive charts, tables and graphics will greatly increase the effectiveness of any poster. Illustrations and tables should be kept relatively simple to maximize legibility. Avoid "artsy" style and keep captions brief.
  • Lines in graphs should be heavy. Choose colors that are easily distinguishable from one another. Symbols, letters and numbers should be large enough to be seen from a distance of six feet.
  • It's easier to read a poster if the information is arranged in vertical columns rather than horizontal strips.
